Our customer needs a Catalyst 3560G. This switch will need some basic routing function (OSPF). Can we get away with using the standard disk image (48TS-S)? Or do we need the enhanced image (48TS-E)? Please share your input.

Hi Peter,
Standard image only includes RIP and static routing.
So you will need the (more expensive) E-version to run ospf.

Leo

It looks like with the IOS 12.2.SEE you will need E. With 15.0, it looks like you can use S.

This switch will need some basic routing function (OSPF).
What version of OSPF? If memory serves me right, OSPFv1 is supported on the IP Base feature set starting from 12.2(55)SE.

This will also depend if your appliance have 32 mb flash or not since 15.0 requires a minimum of 32 mb flash. Otherwise, you're stuck with 12.2(55)SE.
