Catalyst 3650 Evaluation MODE after Upgrade to 16.09.08

Hi,

i have upgrade an 3650-48PD to  from 16.3.x to 16.09.08 . After reboot the switch is in Evaluation Mode. Is it possible to downgrade to 16.6.x to get the rtu license back ? 
Is the evaluation mode normal ? will it automacvally get an perpetual license when connected to an Cisco Smart Satellite instance?

Hi @KSVSachsen 

Probably the license was installed on the switch via .lic file in the past. As you reinstalled the IOS the file was removed. What you can do is install the license again if you have the .lic file.

  simply adding the switch to smart license will not give the license back as we are talking about different licensing systems. You need to have 3650 licensing available on your smart account. 

  But if you had the license on the switch you can talk with Cisco or who sold the switch for you and they can help get another license.
