I connected the two Ethernet ports of a Mac Pro to a Catalyst 3650 switch. I then configured LACP on both the switch and the Mac Pro. The link came up between the switch (the line protocol in the port-channel is up) and the Mac Pro (the link aggregation interface is up). But pinging from the Mac Pro to a host on the switch failed.
I followed this configuration on the switch:
1. configure terminal
2. interface interface-id
3. switchport mode access
4. switchport access vlan vlan-id
5. channel-group channel-group-number mode auto active
6. end
I also tried it without a vlan configured, but ping still failed.
Any help would be appreciated.

- Check this for enabling LACP on the MAC :

check if you configured your LACP interface correctly
there should only be the bond0 "interface" (with IP, netmask and so on) when trying LACP.

I already configured bond0 on the Mac Pro, and after the configuration and assigning an IP address, I could not ping another host that was connected to the switch.
If I connected the Mac Pro to Cisco SLM2008 and configured LACP on both the Mac Pro and the SLM2008, ping would work.
