Catalyst 9000 Default Output Queue Settings

Hello,

I am reading some documentation and learning about queuing on the C9000s. This whitepaper, section egress toolset, goes into detail about default queue configurations on the C9000. Cisco Catalyst 9000 Switching Platforms: QoS and Queuing White Paper - Cisco

It indicates there are two output queues, one for a handful of important DSCP values and another for the rest. I can confirm this to be the case on our equipment. However, I am confused about some other related command output. If you issue "show interface x/x/x" on an interface with default settings, you see the queue type is fifo. Yet the output of "show platform hardware fed active qos queue config interface x/x/x" on the same interface shows that queue 0 has a lower weight than queue 1. I interpret this as the switch is actually using weighted queuing, not fifo. I feel like I'm not understanding something. Can someone help me understand what is going on?
