Catalyst 9300 http server hangs

So we just got a 9300 and are trying to get the web gui up and running.  I enabled the http server, assigned an IP address to the management interface and created an admin user with priviledge 15.

I can log on the first time after an http server restart.  But once i'm logged on in the dashboard, nothing works.  It doesnt matter what i click on, everything hangs.  The only way to fix it is to restart the http server but then it just happens again and again with the same behavior described above.

Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Thanks!

 - Did you try different browsers ?

Yep, tried Edge, FF, Chrome, and Safari.   Behavior is the same on all of them.

So interesting behavior just happened.  It actually let me log out (the only thing it would let me do after restarting it again) but it will not let me use the credentials that worked the first time.  If I restart, everything works until I log in and then the behavior repeats.

Very strange.

 - Check current software version on your 9300 ; if possible you may try with newer releases (if available).

Its 16.6.2.  I think there is a 16.6.3, but that's just one release behind and I'd rather let 16.6.3 soak a while before taking the plunge.

Good idea, though.

I'm definitely perturbed.  35 views and no one has experienced anything like this.  After scouring the internet, I haven't been able to find any issues similar which is disconcerting.

Perhaps it just needs to be RMA'd.
