Hey guys,

I have a wlc 2504 with some APs connected.

Is there a possibility to change the band of some APs from 2,4GHz to 5GHz only?

And where can I see which band is currently configured/active?

Thank in advance!

So my questions is: Can I configure the Cisco APs for just providing the 5GHz band and disable the 2,4 GHz band?

Wireless > Access Points > Radios > 2.4 Ghz.

On the right-hand side of each APs (in every radio) there is a blue box.  Hover the mouse over the blue box and choose Configure.

You can disable 2.4 Ghz on a per-AP basis or disable 2.4 Ghz on the WLAN-side.

You can enable or disable a radio of a specific AP through here.

Oh, you mean Flexible Radio Assignment (RFA)?

What is the model of the APs?   For FRA, the APs in question has to be the new 2800/3800 series APs.  To enable FRA, go to Wireless > Advanced > RF Management > Flexible Radio Assignment.

My APs are AIR-CAP2702I-E-K9.

So I don't have the FRA option.

ehm let me explain the whole problem:

There are two of the AIR-CAP2702I-E-K9 APs in one room that provide a Wifi SSID.

In this room, I have approximately 50 tablets which connect to that SSID.

Furthermore, there are 50 bluetooth devices that interact between each other.

And I always have bluetooth connection problems.

So Bluetooth is working on the 2,4GHz band.

My Cisco APs are working on the 2,4GHz band AND the 5GHz band.

I checked this with the Windows software inSSIDer.

So my questions is: Can I configure the Cisco APs for just providing the 5GHz band and disable the 2,4 GHz band?

So that the 2,4GHz band is free for bluetooth.
