Changing router ip domain name

Hi All:

I have a site where they registered a different FQDN than I had in the router so now I have to change it.

I am using IPSec with PSKs and ssh with passwords only so what are the ramifications of changing the ip domain name?

Cheers,

john

Hi,

Changing ip domain name should not affect the connectivity to the router. Use the IP address to SSH to the router and then change the domain name and the DNS resolver IP if you need to. If you are using FQDN in your IPSec tunnel, you would have to change it on both sides of the tunnel in a maintenance window.
