Choosing IOS image file for Cat6506E

Currently the switch is running image s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-vz.122-33.SXH4.bin.

I am trying to upgrade to 122-33.SXI for the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Virtual Switching Supervisor Engine 720 with 10GE uplinks .

But there are two options I can choose:

IP SERVICES SSH (MODULAR)

s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-vz.122-33.SXI1.bin

Release Date: 31/Mar/2009

Size: 146118.26 KB (149625092 bytes)

Minimum Memory: DRAM:1024 MB Flash:1024 MB

IP SERVICES SSH (MODULAR) - DEFAULT

Can anyone help me to identify which is one is the right one.

Hello Edmond,

they are the same thing:

they have the same name and the same size and the same release date.

probably default means that it is shipped with the new supervisors in some upgrade bundle for VSS
