Cisco 2960-s compatible with HP Procurve?

                   I have recently bought a Cisco 2960-S and need to install it into our existing environment.  The current environment is made of of solely HP Procurve switches.  I can connect the Cisco 2960-S to a RJ45 port but it doesnt connect using Fibre,  which is essential.

Also when connecting using RJ45 the VLAN's that are active on my Procurve environment are not able to be used on the Cisco,  even though the same name/Vlan ID has been used.

I would appreciate some help if somebody has experiencing of using the hardware in a dual manufacturer environment.

What kind of SFP are you using for the Cisco switch? Link: Cisco Transceiver Modules Compatibility Information

Perhaps you could post the Cisco trunk port configuration and the output of the "show interface trunk" command?
