Hi there,
The Cisco recommended software version is typically based on number of revisions a release has had. For the 3560X this is currently 15.0.2-SE11. This was released back in august 2017, so yes there will have been several vulnerabilities discovered since this date.
If you want to reduce your exposure opt for the 15.2.4E6 release instead.
