Hello All,
This is regarding one of the design we are going to implement for our client. We have 2 routers (ISR4431)which are connected to 2 different MPLS providers.
We are using Cisco 3850 switch between these 2 routers. We also have Internet breakout from the same switch.
We will configure OSPF between routers and switch along with QOS.
Kindly advise how much bandwidth Cisco3850 can support. Is it fine to use 3850 for this design?
Please note there will be no users at this site. This site will be used as Gateway for other branch sites for International traffic.
As per Cisco documents, this switch can support 92 Gbps backplane capacity.

Domestic MPLS Link: 100 Mbps
International MPLS Link: 40 Mbps
Internet Breakout: 15 Mbps
Thanks,
Abhishek

The 3850 will support what you want with no difficulty at all. It is probably way over spec if all you want is pure switching speed. A 2960 would probably do just as well depending on what interfaces or hardware specifics that you need. They are both quite capable of switching at line speed if you aren't wanting to do anything special.

Thanks mate. Yes we are doing anything special. But this switch will participate in OSPF routing.
But IP service license can support more than 200 OSPF routes.

3850, or even 3650, will be OK for that in my opinion
