Cisco 4900M and Multicasting

I am testing a 4900m for multicasting and am having no problems directing traffic through one of the 10g ports out to 8 of the the 1g ports. I am seeing no errors so far. I had heard a rumor that if you try to direct traffic over more ports you will begin to see errors/drops/collisions. Has anyone had any experience with this?

happy to know your tests are in progress.

I don't see any reason why the list of outgoing ports for a multicasst group should be limited to 8 in a switch like this
