Currently I have ATT (SBC) ADSL Service in Michigan and I have this horrible 2-wire modem that I keep having to have replaced.
I am curious if the 857 would be a good replacement for it, and if it would be compatible.
I have a block of static IP's as well so I need 1:1 NAT support alond with traditional NAT, so I can have certain hosts on the LAN have IP addresses such as
10.0.0.0/16
76.236.175.0/29
I'm assuming the unit has a built in DHCP server as well?

Anthony, you should be able to accomplish what you ask with the 857.. please go over these links specially the Q&A for broadband cable questions.. 857 does support all your questions including broadband DSL cable
Also Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP) server/relay/client is supported.
