Cisco 887VA 4-Port LAN Switch SVI Creation

Hi,

I just wanted to confirm if I can create an VLAN SVI's on an 887VA router and then associate the 4-port LAN switch ports to these different SVI's?

Basically, I am trying to use the Layer 2 LAN port as the Layer 3 WAN port for the Ethernet handoff.

I know logically it should work fine but wanted to again confirm and also know if there are any constraints for this router..... like do I need some specific IOS license etc like Advanced IP Services......

Yes you can, and it is in "base ip".

Create a vlan, assign it to an interface, and configure the SVI.  Something like:

vlan 2

interface FastEthernet2
  switchport mode access
  switch access vlan 2

interface vlan 2
  ip address ....
