Hi Community Team,
I see log message in Cisco 9300-24-TA switch (with Network Advantage and Cisco DNA advantage subscription) sometimes and at the same time there is loss of connectivity with IPv4 or IPv6. Users are able to connect/ping to gateway however user traffic cannot cross gateway( switch) or we can say switch cannot route the traffic to gateway.
I primarily suspect arp table size being exhausted, so I ran following command and everything works fine. 1) clear ipv6 neighbours 2) clear ip arp The frequency of problem is, it occurs every 4/5 hours. If I hit above command at 3.5 hours interval, no users complain on connectivity loss.
Below is the log message I can see in switch. %FED_L3_ERRMSG-3-RSRC_ERR: Switch 1 R0/0: fed: Failed to allocate hardware resource for fib entry due to hardware resource exhaustion - rc:2054 %FMFP-3-OBJ_DWNLD_TO_DP_FAILED: Switch 1 R0/0: fman_fp_image: adj 0x51b7, Flags None download to DP failed %FED_L3_ERRMSG-3-RSRC_ERR: Switch 1 R0/0: fed: Failed to allocate hardware resource for fib entry due to hardware resource exhaustion - rc:2054 %FMFP-3-OBJ_DWNLD_TO_DP_FAILED: Switch 1 R0/0: fman_fp_image: adj 0x55fb, Flags None download to DP failed Is there any command to check arp database utilization on IOSXE.
From the data-sheet, I can see it supports 32000 arp+route capacity. What resource has been exhausted as per above log? Is this a bug on the platform? Any IOS XE to upgrade and fix this issue?
How do I check FIB/TCAM utilization? Seek your urgent help here
Sincerely,
Yanjan
