Hi. I've got a stack of two of these switches and running Version 16.9.4.
I want to update the software and from what I see on Cisco page for recommended releases it says the below (17.6.5 or 17.9.4)
Does anyone know if I can go straight from 16.9.4 to these versions recommended?
Also on the downloads page it lists 2 9300-24UX switches - with -A or -E on the end. How do I know which one I've got!?
Also I've googled for upgrade guides BUT they all show going it via the CLI but the switch GUI has a software upgrade option, below.
Can I just install from here rather than via CLI?
Apologies if these are basic questions, but never done a Cisco switch upgrade before. If there are artlicles I can look at to help then that would also be appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.

Hello!
Yes you can upgrade directlly from 16.9.4 to 17.9.4.
I usually work from CLI, but it should also work fine from WEBGUI.

Hi Mike,

Yes, you can jump directly from one version to another.
Also on the downloads page it lists 2 9300-24UX switches - with -A or -E on the end. How do I know which one I've got!?
The IOS is the same for both A and E. So long as your switch is 9300-24UX the rest should not matter.
Can I just install from here rather than via CLI?
You can use either one but I prefer the CLI.
Good Luck!
