Cisco Catalyst 4500-X Reset and Delete Data

Hello all. I am new to the networking world, and trying to get a better understanding of everything. 

I currently have a Cisco Catalyst 4500-X. I am able to to get to the main Switch# prompt, but am realizing that the standard Catalyst commands do not work. I am trying to basically show flash and delete individual lines only leaving the .bin file.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to get this accomplished?

Hi,

"show flash" should work. If not try "dir" and you should be able to see everything on flash.

VLAN database is stored in a different partition called cat4000_flash:

Introduced in on 3.11.8, use the following command (4500X, Sup7): 

factory-reset all secure

WARNING:  

1.  This command will take several hours. 

2.  When the process is finish, the firmware will not be erased but the config-register value is set to 0x2106
