Load the IOS with a "k9" in the filename.  For example:  cat4500es8-universalk9.SPA.03.08.02.E.152-4.E2.bin

Current IOS Version is : cat4500es8-universal.SPA.03.08.02.E.152-4.E2.bin

The filename does NOT have a "k9" in it's filename. I've provided an example of what the filename should look like if you want to enable SSH.

As Leo said, (K9) in the file name means crypto that is SSH.

Yes.

Download the correct filename from the Cisco website, load the IOS into the switch and reboot.

So, once  i download  IOS with k9, can i use below command to upgrade my 4506-E  VSS Cluster

boot system flash bootflash:cat4500es8-universalk9.SPA.03.10.00.E.152-6.E.bin

Yes, you can use that command to change the boot variable statement.

Did you read the Release Notes for 3.10.0E?  I recommend that you do.
