Cisco ISR R4321 router remain on 97% memory all time

we have Cisco ISR R4321 router and today I have seen it log and notice that it is utilizing 97% memory al time, I don't have much idea on how to diagnose this issue and resolve it. can someone please help .

Hello,

the exec command 'show proc mem' should give you an indication which process is using up the memory.

That said, there is a bug which displays the wrong values for CLI generated free/used memory values. Do you experience any performance issues  If not, check if the bug below applies:

a. show processes memory platform location <...>
b. show processes memory platform sorted
c. show processes memory platform sorted location <..>
3. show platform software status control-processor
4. show platform software status control-processor brief
5. show platform software process list switch active R0 summary
6. show platform resources

sorry, I didn't check post, we are loosing lots of packets on router, I just check with cisco for support, but our contract has expired. so I can't get update from Cisco. I will try to see if we  can get TAC renewed.

97% is very high. In addition to Georg's recommendations, I suggest you open a ticket with Cisco TAC before you face any down time.
