Hi,
I understand that Cisco 5600 series support GLC-T based on the data sheet. However, do I need CVR-QSFP-SFP10G before using GLC-T or I can place GLC-T directly in to one of the QSFP+ ports on the switch?
Appreciate your help.
Regards,

Hi Ranga,
On the 5600 series switches, you can only use the GLC-T on the 10G fixed ports by configuring the port speed and directly insert the transceiver.
For the 40G ports, you can use 1 Gigabit Ethernet interface through a QSFP to SFP and SFP+ adapter (QSA). For more information on the QSA, refer - http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/interfaces-modules/transceiver-modules/data_sheet_c78-729336.html

Manoj

Thank you Manoj.
My model is Nexus 5648Q, where all are QSPF ports. Looks like I need to use the SFP adapter then.
