Hello.
I am in the process of replacing a Cisco Catalyst 4506 with a Nexus Solution. We purchased 2 Cisco Nexus 5672UP and are running eVPC with 4 Cisco N2k's as FEX.
After configuration of eVPC has successfully formed between the two Nexus 5K's. All FEX are connected.
I am configuring layer 2 and layer 3 port channels. With the 4506, I could configure everything on the single switch but with two Cisco N5k's configuration is unclear. Do I mirror all configurations on both switches or do I simple split them?

Hi Allan,
If all your devices (FEX, 4500, etc..) are connected to both Nexus 5672 switches, the configuration has to be identical on both switches.

Thank You.
Follow up question: Will I have an issue if I have the same SVI configured on both N5ks? How will host connected to either N2k FEX be affected?

That should not be an issue since each SVI will have a different IP address, but the common way to do this is with HSRP. You can run HSRP version 2 with SVIs on both switches and a virtual IP address.
