Dear, We have a nexus switch 9300 on a customer site and I know it doesn't support dhcp server. So, I want to run dhcp server on 4-stacked edge switches connected to nexus core switch.. BUT there a lot of others edge switches connected to the core. so all broadcast dhcp requests from an edge switch will reach all other edge switches will be like broadcast storm. will this affect the performance? and what is the best practice here? THANKS

Hi,

It depend on the number user/device you are supporting. I recommend using a regular server as your DHCP server and not the core switch or edge switches.

Dear,

to me i think core switch fits very well in all environments i implemented before as a dhcp server, But here core switch dosent support dhcp server, i ask what about using 2960x switches. Users about 1000 users, explain why please
