Cisco switch C1300-24T-4X & C1300-24XS support mlag or not.

Dear All,

I have check C1300-24T-4X and C1300-24XS, both of them are supported Front Panel Stacking.

Specs don't mention about mlag, but it's does say: "Support for LAG across multiple units in a stack"

As I understand, both of switch have support stacking and mlag, is that correct?

Or what cheapest switch that supports mc-lag with 24 port sfp.

I look forward to hearing from you.

That's my understanding too, but cannot truly confirm it's correct.

"C1300-24T-4X and C1300-24XS"

BTW, I believe those two models are in different families and cannot be in the same stack.

Hmm, as far as I can see, no one model supports 24 (gig only) SFP ports.

To provide the number, you would need to use like 6 models that each provide 4 SFP ports (which might bump into the 200 ports per stack limitation, noted in datasheet - six C1300-24T-4X should be okay) or use models supporting SFP+ ports.  A dual C1300-12X, in a stack, with its 12 SFP+ ports, appears it would support your requirement.  Your -24XS, wouldn't provide mlag, unless you meant you want 24 dual mlag ports. If so, the C1300-24T-4X wouldn't be an option.

So, price out six C1300-24T-4X ($800?) vs. two C1300-12XS ($1,300?)

Thanks for your feedback;
Of course, I will stack 2 switches of the same type, both of the above switchs support stacking, but mc-lag is unclear.
I need to use mc-lag for 02 core switches, i can use other model if the price is reasonable.
