Cisco switch replacement and issue with iSCSI vlan

HI,

I wanted recently replace 2 x 2960-x stacked switches with 2 x 3850-x stacked switches, I "copied" configuration from 2960 to 3850, however after booting up iSCSI interfaces didn't come up (however all interfaces were green) , I restarted switches all interfaces were green (VM, mgmt) but not iSCSI (amber). Is there anything that I can do from networking perspective or the problem is on SAN site and how to resolve this ? We scanned Host bus adapters but it didn't help

thank you

Hi,

It might be that you are running to a speed mismatch with the iSCSI devices. You may want to hard-set the speed and suplex on the switch side and test again.

Reza can I ask you, have you seen this issue between SAN and switch before or it is only suggestion ?

 Hi Guys, thanks for reply

On 3850 there is Cisco IOS XE Fuji 16.9.6 , IPBase

at this moment we've put back 2960x so I can't paste interface output

Configurations files are the same on both switches , on 2960x interface speed is not hard coded, maybe in fact 3850x is more picky then 2960x ?

Hi,

I don't recall seeing this issue with this model. I am just making a suggestion because you noted that the status light stays amber on the 3850.

I think this is a physical layer issue but then again I could be completely wrong.
