hi expertise,

m using cisco works 2k, the problem is its getting very slow during login time as well as browsing time. what could be the problem.

Hi there,

Check the spec of the machine it's running on. There is a lot of java running on these programs and you might need to beef up a little.

i hve very higher end server so i dont think it could be a problem. when m accessing locally (on server itself) getting very slow takes lot of time.

Ya i had,But the thing is CD one fifth edition support jre 1.3.1.

Is ciscoworks directly on your network? We have found that CW2K works very poorly if it has to run thru any kind of firewalls at all . It becomes next to unusuable when going thru firewalls. Also look for things like speed/duplex mismatches between the server and the switch it is attached to.
