Cisco WS 3850 XS-S 1G/10G SFP+ switch can we use 1G SFP Module

we are planning to purchase Cisco WS 3850 XS-S 1G/10G SFP+ 24 Port switch

 

at access layer we are having Cisco 2960X 48 Port switch with 4*1G SFP Modules

 

can we plug in 1G SFP modules in cisco WS 3850 XS-S 1G/10G SFP+ 24 Port Switch to communicate with access layer 1G SFP modules

Normally, yes, you can use a SFP in a SFP+ port.

According to the Data Sheet, "XS" support 10 Gbps optics but you'll need to get C3850-NM-4-1G or C3850-NM-4-10G.

we don't want to install any additional card... my question is can we plug 1G SFP Module in SFP+ or not.. whether it will work or not to communicate with access layer switch 1G SFP
