Client at site 1 unable to http or rdp to server in site 2

Hi,

I have two sites connected by a point to point link, users connecting on the Wireless VLAN 900 are affected only. I am able to ping between the sites on the VLAN but RDP and HTTP traffic is failing.

When I do a traceroute from site 1 I get and output.

When I do a traceroute from site 2 I do not get an output.

After reviewing the configuration at both sites. Site 1 has the VLAN 900 L2 and L3 configuration.

Site 2 does not have L3 or L2 for VLAN 900 in place. Is this likely to be the cause of this issue? Why would I be able to ping but not RDP or HTTP.

I have setup Wireshark at both the client and server and each site, the client at site 1 is not seeing the reply from the Server at site 2.

Thanks for your help

Hi

It is not necessary to have Vlan 900 on both sides. Vlan has locally significance only. If you are able to ping from one site to the other, you are fine in connectivity.

If you can not RDP or HTTP  you need first make sure the server is listening on those port RDP 3389 and HTTP port 80.

If the server is listening on those ports, you can check for Access List.

If this is a PacketTracer project, you can attach here for better help you. You just need to zip it before attach.
