I have cisco me3400 series switch with me. I am not able to copy ios from switch to tftp server instead i can copy running-config and other file but not ios file. Error shown is as below:

%error reading flash:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.bin (is a directory)

can you elaborate a bit more on what didn't work , the reason its not allowing you transfer it because its in a directory in flash  , when you CD to it you should see the .bin file and be able to transfer that as that's not in a directory ?

its the same method , you got to break it out of the directory 1st
