@leandro-aoliveira

Conectou alguma GBIC no 9500 recente, Leonardo?

show man! boa sorte ai!

What firmware is the switch on?

If this is a VSS, what is the uptime?

What firmware is the switch on? IOS 17.06.04

If it is a VSS, what is the uptime? The switch is in stackwise mode

I am focusing on this part of the post "Application error rc = 6: -Traceback= 1#d6ac0ae685311fdb93bf0febce5a3181". Traceback is ALWAYS an indication of a software problem.

@leandro-aoliveira This error message on your Cisco 9500 switch, %TRANSCEIVER-3-RPC_FAILED, typically indicates an issue with the transceiver module or its communication with the switch. The error suggests an application failure in the IOMD (Input/Output Module Driver), possibly due to a faulty transceiver, software bug, or compatibility issue.

Try the following steps to troubleshoot:

  1. Check the transceiver – Remove and reinsert the module, or try replacing it with a known working one.
  2. Verify compatibility – Ensure the transceiver is Cisco-certified and compatible with your switch model.
  3. Check logs – Run show log | include TRANSCEIVER and show interfaces transceiver details for more details.
  4. Software update – If you’re running an older IOS-XE version, consider upgrading to the latest recommended release.
  5. Reload the switch – If the issue persists, a reload may help clear any software-related errors.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to open a TAC case with Cisco.
