CPU Utilization become high (CISCO 3750 layer-III)

ZAHIDHASEEB
Level 1
Level 1

We have one CISCO switch (model 3750 layer-III) installed on core layer on top of access layer switches. For last 10 days we notice(thru NPM tool) that its CPU utilization reaches to 90% after 24 hours gradually. So we need to restart switch every 24 hours. is it possible that we can see what process taking 90% of CPU resource

Start with the basic.  Post the complete output to the following commands:

sh version
sh proc cpu sort | ex 0.00

NOTE:  Try to take the output of the 2nd command as-close-as-possible to when the CPU is high or spikes.

sh proc cpu sort | ex 0.00

@Leo Laohoo Results are attached for your reference

Version 12.2(55)SE1

Upgrade the firmware of the switch first.

And check the logs and see if there are any flapping interfaces.

@Leo Laohoo I can see the version of my CISCO Core switch is 12.2(55)SE1means the version is same on my Core switch as you said it should be. Please see the sh version output which I shared above
