Creating local admin on multiple switches

Hello all,

Is there an efficient way to create a local admin on multiple cisco switches, instead of having to login to every switch to do so?
Can this be done using cisco prime? where you can create a local admin account and push it out to all the switches?

Thank You

Hi there,

This is a good use case for Ansible, take a look at this module: cisco.ios.ios_user module – Module to manage the aggregates of local users. — Ansible Documentation

If you don't fancy setting up Ansible (or simply running it from a container) then you good create a simple Python script to push commands to a set of devices. I always direct people to this as an example which you could expand upon: srupik-apic-em-tools/oneLinerSimple.py at master · sebrupik/srupik-apic-em-tools · GitHub

cheers,

Seb.
