datacentre designs and best practice

Hi All

If designing a moderately sized datacentre with say 15-20 racks, using VM / NETAPP / WINDOWS servers etc what would people go for these days?

currently we have 6509e switches with 3750x stacks at the top of each rack, of which we have been having issues with the 3750x and iscsi traffic load.

Would the best design these days be something like Nexus 7k with fabric extenders for the top of rack switches ?

can you stack the fabric extenders? if not would you have 2 fabric extenders in each rack? could I team a server to both fabric extenders?

Is this the design to go for these days ?
