I've got a client business who has asked me to help them with their wireless needs. They currently use random wireless access points that don't seem to work well and they don't have a true guest network that is separate. My thought is get some used Cisco 1142 AP's and flash the stand alone firmware to them and then get a 3750G that's poe to power them. I am wanting to create 2 SSID's one on a business VLAN and one on a separate guest VLAN. I would prefer to have the switch route the traffic as their router is a really old sonicwall that i would prefer not to touch. So my question is this, as of now either their DC is the dhcp server or their sonicwall is. I would plan on keeping that the same for their business vlan. I know a lot of people don't like having 2 dhcp servers on a network but since vlan 1 and vlan 2 would have ACL's in place to stop traffic between them would it be bad practice to put a dhcp server for the guest network on the 3750G for that vlan? I'd prefer to not setup a dhcp scope and have to allow any sort of packets through from vlan 1 to vlan 2. I also don't know if I'll be able to log into their server or sonicwall easily as I do not do the IT work for them and they don't have the passwords for their stuff. My thoughts were configure this at home and I would just go in one night and have to plug all this stuff up and it would be good to go.
Does anyone see any issues with having the 3750g handle dhcp for vlan 2? Or any suggestions on how to possibly do this better?
Thank you for your time and input!

you have answered your question yourself already "I know a lot of people don't like having 2 dhcp servers on a network ". I'd try to reach all the stakeholders and get this done as it should. however I've seen people are having completely separate dhcp servers for guest vlan to completely isolate guest environments for different reasons,as in having them configured in WLCs or firewalls mainly due to security and match organizations policies
This wont be flexible in terms of management as having a real DHCP server(reservations, set options what not) but for a guest vlan you will not be doing those type of changes much and it'll just fulfil you needs
Also I guess you have already considered EOL status for 1140 an 3750 and implications getting them second hand
