Hi,

Can anybody explain what is the difference between Bandwidth and Thro.put??? with some examples. Looks Cofusing!

Throughput is the amount of information (pulses, bits, frames, packets, etc...) that can be sent through a conductor while it is under the stresses of real-life operation.

Bandwidth is the amount of information it is physically possible to send through the media of choice (copper, fiber)

For example; your ISP provides your 2MB bandwidth but actually you will be able to transfer lesser than 2MB the interface can delever,. after setting you bandwith for interface by using command """ bandwith 2000

always remember that if your channel capacity which is bendwidth C and your transmission rate is R... then keep in mind that transmission rate should always less then the channel capacity in order to obtain the proper communication... R
