Difference in RTT values for icmp & tcpconnect ip sla for the same destination

Hi All,

In my organization we are using icmp ip sla and tcp-connect ip sla for same destination. But we are getting different RTT. Anyone can please let us know what will be the reason. I have mentioned the configurations below. We are using cisco WS-C6506-E layer 3 switch.

tcp-connect configuration

ip sla 5
 tcp-connect 62.6.248.45 443 source-ip 10.84.30.3 control disable
 timeout 2000
 frequency 30
ip sla schedule 5 life forever start-time now
 

icmp configuration

ip sla 7
 icmp-echo 62.6.248.45 source-ip 10.84.30.3
 frequency 10
ip sla schedule 7 life forever start-time now
