If its the 0 and V04 your concerned about that's not an issue ,, the stack is still fully formed and in ready state and all running same ios which the most important thing

hey You have 2 sups or vss and your trying to disable the standby is that correct ?
The standby should only become valid on a 6500 when your active is dead , is there a reason your trying to disable it
Its this anyway its hidden command so may not show
no standby console enable

Hi,
I have a problem in my stack 3850 , i cannot login to console .
But i am not sure it is already configured . How can i see if it is already configured
Thank you

Ok in a stack connect to the master for console access ,
Looks at the stack only one switch should have an LED showing master light up , connect into that console port
This is for 6500s and sups not 3850s no standby console enable

HI
The problem , due to some issue i cannot connect the console to the master . so i was thinking to connect to standby if i enable "standby console enable"
Thanks

How are you going to set that though if theres no access over console , have you access over the vty ?
what does your show redundancy output give ?

Hi,
Problem description :
Suddenly remote login stoppes ssh or telnet , still console access there (active led constant) .So i got chance to run the following command .
When i run " sh run " seems console hang .
Then i connected standby console (active led keep blinks),
there iam getting below messages
"console is now available
Press RETURN to get started."
Now i don't have any access to the switch

Hi
Is console on master switch still down , still hung ?
If you don't have access even by console it sounds as if some process has jammed up the cpu , there is no way around that but reboot to clear the processes/issue and then run something like an eem script to try and capture what's happening while the issue occurs
Is there any service effect to this yet other than your access ? ssh/telnet and console needs to be rebooted
Do you have any 3rd party software monitoring the switch to give any indication or syslog what might be causing the issues
02-24-2016 01:38 AM
Hi ,
I am using cisco prime for monitoring , but it did not give any indication of the problem .It did not effect any services except we cannot login it .
Thanks
02-24-2016 01:53 AM
Yes ok that's strange Prime did not report anything , can you see the device in Prime in monitor inventory section you should be able to see what the cpu is currently at ?
Its most likely a bug or the cpu is maxed out and its dropped access
If no method is available (console / vty / ssh.telent ) to access the stack you will need to reboot to clear the process or bug temporarily until you can see exactly whats causing it

02-24-2016 03:12 AM
so prime has lost access to the stack as well , without access, any type of monitoring available to see what happened , to get it back online fully you will need to reboot it

Hi,
I have rebooted full stack .Now i don't know what happpend . There is some hardware version mismatch
