Hello Guys,
I am looking to replace my linux router with my new cisco router 1921. I have configured almost everything I need. I need some help with my DNS which I setup on my cisco router to resolve local host.
Router is resolving my request no problem the only issue is that ttl is set to 10 sec its not taking ttl from SOA - I read it on cisco site that "Unless Distributed Director is enabled, the TTL on locally defined resource records will always be ten seconds." I didn't understand what should I do? I cant find anything related to distributed director on my router - but still ttl is 10sec. Please help!
Regards
Ali Raza

Hi Ali,
According to below link, the Distributed Director is only available in certain platforms and not the 1900 series.

HI Reza,
True, I have also seen this link before but the problem is that my local dns entries are not getting ttl from their SOA for some reason. I am searching for this issue and I get links suggesting to do something with distributed director.
Thanks
Ali Raza
