Do 2K/3K switches support hardware-baseed switching?

As far as i know hardware-base switching is used with CEF table in  P/DFC. 

What about 2K/3K switches? Do they support hardware-based ? or just software based ?

for all Nexus series devices, the switching is hardware

based.
