Hi All,
I read the datasheet before, the F2 module can support layer 3 interface.
Is the layer 3 interface means SVI interface or routed interface or both?
This is my environment, I want to use nexus 7000 as a multicast router, So every interfaces on nexus 7K shoud be run as a router interface.
Which line card should i choose if i just want to accomplish this function? M OR F ?
Thanks...

F2 line cards can support Layer 3 if you have a Layer 3 license enabled and if you DO NOT HAVE any M1/M2 line cards. The very minute you stick an M1/M2 line card in, the F2 card will "downgrade" to a Layer 2 line card and will hand over Layer 3 capabilities/functions to the M1/M2 line card.
Layer 3 interface = Routed ports
Layer 2 interface = SVI

Thanks Leo,
From your point, i think the F2 card can support layer3 interface.
So after I enable multicast feature with F2 card, I can run nexus 7K as a multicast router that every interfaces run as a routed interfaces?
