Does NX-OS 7.0(6)N1(1) support N5596T

  We have two N5596T switches, which are using NX-OS 5.2(1)N1(4) now. This version is reported having some security vulnerabilities about SSH.

  So, we plan to upgrade OS to version 7.0(6)N1(1).  According to the software release note, software version 7.0(6)N1(1) support Nexus 5596T. But when we want to download software from CCO, if we select switch N5596T, only version 5.2(1)N1(4) is available.

  Can somebody make sure NX-OS version 7.0(6)N1(1) support N5596T or not?

According to the release notes, it is supported.. You should be able to download the 7.0(6) from 5596 UP page, and upgrade your switches .

Do you have a test switch to test this ? If not, if your device is in support, pls confirm with Cisco TAC.

We don't have spare n5596T. And our two N5596T are deployed in production network. So, we can't test new version software.

Is opening a case the only way to make sure  ?

Yes you can upgrade to the latest version.

Kindly open the TAC case and we can publish you the IOS. Else you can download the following image from:-

n5000-uk9.7.0.6.N1.1.bin

NOTe:- the image shows for 5548UP--but same will work for T version aswell.
