DoS trouble

Hello All,

One of our 6509 switch was generating "icmpv6 multicast listener broadcast". I dont have any multicast or ipv6 configured on the device. The sup engine was choking during this trouble. I had to reboot the device to contain it.

Any one of you give me guidelines to avert this trouble.

It might be due to multicast enabled on some of your local machine which might cause unstable CPU.Try disabling PIM and see how it responeds.Refer URL
