Downlink Switch Limitations

Can some tell me if there are any limitations for the number of downlink switches we can have as opposed to connecting each switch with a dedicated connection to the Core. Workstations are low end machines that don't generated much traffic. Also, connecting each switch to the core directly can be very expensive.

Thanks In Advance

You might run into STP issues if you daisy chain enough switches. Instead, build a classical hiearchy. I.e. have some distribution switches connect to the core and access switches connect to them. If the switches support Etherchannels, you can also vary the bandwidth provided between devices to match need.
