Dynamic Routing Issue - Ping Returns 'Destination Host Unreachable'

Level 1

Good Afternoon,

I have been attempting to setup dynamic routing between two networks. I can set up both networks with a router on a stick and am able to ping all pc's in their own separate networks. However, as soon as I try to set up dynamic routing using RIP 2 and try to Ping PC 1 in vlan 7 from PC 0 in vlan 1 I get 'destination host unreachable'. I have been trying to troubleshoot for the past few hours but it is driving me crazy and I can't get a result!

I would enormously appreciate any help here and have included as much info as I can in the project (pkt) file here and the photo below.

Thank you in advance

Hello,

got it.

The problem was simply that you did not add all local class C networks to your RIP configurations. I have added all networks locally connected to each respective router, and now there is full connectivity. Review the attached, working file (saved in PT version 8, so you need that version in order to be able to open the file...)

Hello,

post the zipped Packet Tracer project (.pkt) file...

Hi there,

Many thanks please see attached

Hello,

what is the password ?

Hi Georg,

Apologies I am not quite sure what you mean - I have just checked and there is no password protection on the zip file or document, do you mean elsewhere?

Thanks

Hello,

Router0 prompts for a password, the passwords you added as a note on the side of the router do not work, I assume there is a typo somewhere.

Just write the password out here, that is probably the easiest and fastest...

Thanks Georg,

Of course:

Router 0: Login: YamXt660!1, enable password: r0!1

Router 1: Login YamXt660!1 enable password: r1!1

Router 2: Login YamXt660!1 enable password: r2!1

Really appreciate the help. Thank you

Georg,

Thank you - I cannot tell you how helpful this is and I am very, very grateful.

I was under the impression you only added those immediately connected (so in the case of router 0 it would only have been 192.168.0.0 and router 2 192.168.60.0) and it 'dynamically' finds the rest-you can tell my ignorance and nature as a beginner! In any case thank you again and I hope this helps others.
