I am a newb and trying to send a couple of logs to Cisco TAC. they s said the ones i sent were incomplete. they tell me I have to enable logging in order for them to get the full detail. I have googled and googled but cannot find how to just enable logging. I know its probably a stupid question but can anyone help? this is on a 5508 wlc.

Ummmm ... This doesn't make any sense. If TAC wants you info from you, how come they are not giving you all the INSTRUCTIONS and commands?
Have you tried these command:
config paging disable
sh msglog

enable log should be find in web gui if you not familiar /w cli, go to menu Management --> Logs
