End of life Devices

Hi Guys,

In regards to end of life devices, are theses completely out of warranty etc with Cisco? I assume that if one goes faulty, it would be the case of purchasing the newer model which in turn would be within warranty?

If anyone could provide some information on the above that would be great.

Thanks!

BTW, end-of-life goes through stages. Depending where a device is in the end-of-life stages, will determine what support Cisco provides. But, as Leo notes, eventually Cisco will provide no support of any kind.

Hi Joseph,

Thank you for your response - I have since read up the lifecycle and I understand the process, for example a product may be end of sale but not end of support.#

Thank you everyone for your input
