Ethernet Link - Problem

Hi All,

I have two ethernet links connected on a single router.I am using PBR(source based) on my router.

issue:- ethernet interface line protocol is not going down on my router even if the service provider media down.Reason-Its a ethernet link.

Give me some tips - Any failure on the service provider media, my router should understand and work with my policy.

Hello Gobinath,

you need to combine PBR with object tracking to verify effective next-hop reachability (an automated ping test that tells you when the link is not working anymore)
