Evaluation license activation for Lan base

Hi Experts

I have ordered  switch 3850-24T with lan base image.  Initial requirment was to  use it as layer 2 switch however now i want it use it as layer 3 switch for static routing and multiple SVIs. This switch is still not delivered. My question is it possible activate evaluation based license from lan base to ip base on this switch. I am sure that ip base to ip services is allowed  as per cisco website.

Appreciate if someone can confirm.

Hello,

Yes, you can change the license from LAN base to IP base.

switch#license right-to-use activate ipbase all acceptEULA
switch#reload

Can you please let me know how should I order RTU IP base license for 3850 switch. Do I need to specify serial number of the switch while ordering RTU license?
