Hi , I have question and i now it's look like strange but relay i'm confuse .. If i have 5 switches working with L3 ring topology  and have another 5 switches working as L2 in ring topology.. 

My Question here,

In the first group no port will be discard as stp protocol cuz it working L3 .

In the second  group i should fined port with discard ,, cuz it working L2 .

Is i'm Right or not ?  Thanks in advance

Hi!

1) Yes, STP will do nothing since these are L3 links.

2) You will find one port blocked by STP since it has to protect the network from loops.
