I want to launch an extended ping, that goes once every 5 seconds, from the local router to the remote router. I want to use this over 24 hours, to count the number and time of dropouts (the link is usually up). If I launch the PING command from the router, it flies through the ping responses, and doesn't parse them over one second intervals. I know I can set it to 5 second timeout, but that is relevant only when the link is down. If the link is up, it goes through 100 pings in two seconds. Is there a simple script I can write? It's a 3800, ios 12.4.

Randy, that is exactly what I need! I've actually used it years ago, but completely forgot about it.
Many thanks.
