Extrating IOS Catalyst 3550

What are the commands to extract IOS from a Catalyst 3550 and which program can I use?

I had: TFTP, Putty, ExtraPutty, Tera Term...

Which one of those is better?

use putty to console into the switch then when in the switch use commands below , add the iomage name and ip address, obviously switxch will need access to tftp server on the LAN

copy flash tftp:
Source filename []? Your image you want to copy here
Address or name of remote host []? IP address of TFTP server
